Past Events

Here's an obligatory selfie and a snapshot of the events TechBabesNZ has run in the past:

So why the name "TechBabesNZ"?

As the founder of TechBabesNZ, this name has been part of my career journey from the start.
When I speak at high schools, it opens doors with the younger generation — it's relatable, it's fun, and it gets girls excited about tech.
Here's the thing: the upcoming workforce doesn't see "babe" as derogatory. They use it with each other daily (and honestly, so do I 😊).
They also love that it's gender neutral and inclusive of those who identify as non-binary.
If you know me, you know I'm passionate about getting more females into STEM — because we bring an incredible balance and energy to this industry.
It's been a life-changing career for me, and I want that for the next generation too.
It's time for senior leaders to stop holding onto old narratives and start embracing the new.
